Update 15th July 2025
Here’s a selection of photos from the latest site visit to the work to create The Link Centre & Gateway Lodge.
~ Trinity Hall plaster/ceiling repairs and redecoration are finished. The wainscotting is complete and painted, the new radiators and new uplighters are installed. It is bright and light.
~ The balcony panelling is painted; the filigree work is regilded, and new feature lights are installed.
~ The new Heritage White paint brings out the colours in the stained-glass.
~ The organ is temporarily screened off – there will be a new wooden screen – to match the balcony panelling
~ Cornerstone’s temporary kitchen in Trinity Hall is built - this kitchen will be removed when the coffee shop returns to the Cornerstone building
~ The Link structural floor slab is complete, as is the large retaining wall, and bricklaying for the Link wall has started
~ Scaffolding is up on the Station Road side (now the Link floor is complete). Repairing/painting windows, repointing, gutter replacement etc is being done - as already completed on the other three sides
~ In Gateway Lodge water pipes for heating, hot and cold water (for the en-suites etc) are installed. There will be a new ceiling below them.
~ The new doors into Trinity Hall from the Church Street Foyer
~ The new access ramp to Trinity Hall is being installed.
