Thursday 1st October 2020 9:30amTime for Prayer please pray at homeUsually, people are invited to come to our church building to join in a time of prayer at 9.30am on Thursdays. We suggest that, if possible, people use this time to pray at home. There are some short prayers on the Methodist Church's website (see link below).
7:30pmHousegroupThe Thursday evening housegroup (coordinated by Jeff Ffoulkes) could accommodate a few more people joining in on Zoom. Jeff writes “We are more a fellowship group than a Bible study group, but we do study different books of the Bible as part of our meetings.” If you are interested please contact Jeff - jeff.ff@btinternet.com

We meet at 7pm on Fridays on Zoom & are currently following a book called ‘visions of faith’ which is a collection of quotations on topics of faith. Saturday 3rd October 2020 10:00amAshbourne Church open for private prayerAshbourne Methodist Church building will be open for private prayer from 10am - 5pm every Tuesday and Saturday. A detailed risk assessment has been completed and a range of measures have been put in place, including additional cleaning, to keep the space as safe as possible. We are pleased to be able to open out church building to the community, so that people can use the building for private prayer. Although our building has been closed since mid-March, we have continued our activities in other ways - details available on our website and Facebook.
10:00amPray for The Cornerstone Coffee ShopThe Cornerstone Coffee Shop is usually open from 10am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. We serve many regulars who come on their own or with friends, but who appreciate the coffee shop's warmth, friendliness and love. Many of them will be missing spending time in the coffee shop, and may be feeling particularly isolated at the moment. Please, if you are able, spend a few minutes holding them before God.
10:30amZoom Coffee MorningThe weekly Zoom Coffee Morning will take place on Saturday between 10.30am and 11.30am, please join in if you can, it's a good way to stay in touch with others. You need to bring your own coffee of course! If you want to know more please contact Stuart Green on 01335 300338.
Sunday 4th October 2020 9:50am10to10“10to10” will last about 30 minutes, starting at 9.50am, and will include games, videos, a short Bible discussion and prayer time. It will be led by the same team who have been involved in “Wicked Wednesday” during the summer – and will be in a similar style to our 9:15 services (but 10to10 will be just for kids!) The session is for children in school years 1–6, and we will finish before the start of the Sunday morning online service. And don’t forget that we have our “Mustard” group for young people school years 7+, which meets on Sunday evenings – so if you have older children, please encourage them along to that.

To guide our worship, there will be a short video message on Facebook (see link below). Alternatively, you can use the worship sheet produced by the Methodist Church (see the website home page). Friday 23rd October 2020 10:30am“Take Out Church” is back! “Take Out Church” is back! This time the theme is “Harvest” and there will be a family box and an adult bag. The family box has contents for pre- school to year 6 children and the adult bag for anyone else!! The family box contains colouring sheets, recipes, crafts (including 2 scarecrow puppets) bible stories, and a special story about NORMAN the harvest banana. The adult bag will contain a Lindisfarne book, recipes and a quiz. If you are interested and would like a box or a bag come and collect them on: - 23rd October from 10.30am to 12.30pm - 24th October from 10.30am to 4.00pm from Ashbourne Methodist Church steps.
